G.Kero is a family adventure, between brother and sister, Philippe and Marguerite Bartherotte. From the Cap Ferret, she used to draw through her inspirations, and he took his paintings to the next step putting her work on a new and alternative canvas. Borrowing its name from the short movie Gisèle Kerosene by the French director Jan Kounen, G.Kero was born, naturally.
Who are you?
Marguerite Bartherotte, designer of G.Kero.
How did you start in fashion?
I am drawing since I am very young. It's not original to say but it's like that. I was a little fed up painting on paper when my brother asked me some drawings to have them printed on Tshirts in Brazil. He wanted to make his own tees. And I said to myself ! Hey ? Good idea : let's start painting on tees. I then began to paint straight on tee shirts and all my friends were asking for one... it is how it began.
How would you define your style?
Hard to say. I love life and spontaneous things.
What inspires you?
Everything around. Nature, animals, musicians, people, faces... life.
A few words about this collection...

What are you most proud of?
The Couple X shirt (Kamasutra) ! I had a lot of fun doing it, I drew about 60 couples making love to make that shirt. Each draws, I wonder myself if we will sold at least one, haha !
Where do you manufacture your products?
Where can we find your collection?

If your brand was a music, a movie, a cocktail...
I do music. My drawings are music as well. I need both.
